I am not a good electrician so this is probably a dumb question but here goes. My 2 generators connected in paralell will not produce 24 volts on a consistant basis. The grid tie Outback inverter is rated for 24 volts. No problem running 2 batteries in series to get the 24 volts. If I do this will I need to send 24 volts to the batteries or will they charge with the 12 volts from the generator?

A 24 volts bank won't charge from a 12 volts generator.
