New challenge guys, just thought of it
Wrong time of year in the U.K obviously, but there may be bargains to be had???

Who can find the cheapest watt/£ solar panel.
I think they should be categorised as they tend to be cheaper the larger they are, I suggest;

5 watts
20 watts
50 watts
75 watts
100 watts
Standard delivery needs to be included also.

Ben if you search around that site a bit there is something mentioned about 22% efficient solar panels as well. I can't back it up, but thought I'd mention that.

Cheers!

Theres been lots of speculation over the years about cost effective, efficient solar panels - I've not seen any better than 18% efficient even for the very best, most are around 14%.
I hope it will become a reality very soon, but I will believe it when i can see it and more importantly buy the panels.

Ben.

If it hold true, this is very good news.

Hi there i have collected 5 panels from this guy in Bromsgrove and they are good quality and manufactured by www.richsolar.com. I think he has sold out now as he only had 5 left after i had my 5 but he told me he was getting more in 6 weeks. Hope This helps!

It was the same seller that Keith got his from (see above)I just negotiated the price down to £195 each if I bought four and got carriage for £20 the lot.

When I bought my four the seller did have some left but is no longer advertising any.

The ebay seller ID is 01527875087. It's worth asking the question to see if they have any left or if they are intending to get any more in.

Cheers

You got a link to the panels Del, or was it a one off offer (ebay)?

How does an 80W panel for £195 grab you?

That's £2.44 per watt.

Actually I've just bought four at that price and paid £20 for delivery for all four.

Cheers

Stumbled on to this...
"If you are prepared to wait till April ( when are next container comes in)

Pay only $5.50 per watt with 25 % deposit"

$5.50/1.98 = 2.77 GBP for mono crystalline? I don't understand this because they only claim 13% efficiency for the cells, but 12.5% for the panel.
