I was looking to purchase a power inverter off of ebay and i got to looking an noticed some DC to AC inverters had 1,2,and sometimes 3 or more places to plug in to. I Found a 300w 2 plug one and thought that would be good enough for me, however i wasn't sure if an inverter with more places to plug things into would be any less efficient than one with only one spot, i didn't want to get a big one and only plug one thing into it and realize its draining my battery. |

Well someone had to go and egg me on...
The same guy sells a 59" windmill that starts making power at 1.8 MPH.
That works out to about 0.2W available. Then figure in the bearing losses. Then eddy current losses if it was turning at all. Then figure that kind of blades are certainly stalled in 1.8 MPH winds... Any chance it will even turn itself?

Good question ...
It's my understanding inverters can be "stacked" in a variety of configurations (with some loss in efficiency perhaps).
There is a seller on ebay (qaz661) who claims to sell "stackable" inverters, although by the way he writes up his sales pitches you'd think his products are the "only" solutions available. Just call me a doubting Thomas on that one ...
I imagine someone here with the knowledge of how to do this or why not to do this will provide us with more information on this subject.

I think you are right, the bigger the number of plugs, the higher the wattage, the higher the drain from the battery.
