Posted - 10/08/2007 : 15:54:40 Today I had a look at the new windsave Turbine.I do think it is over priced and I`m yet to hear from anyone in B+Q that know anything about it other than trying to sell it.
There is qualified electricians at B++Q and get extra money because they are classed as experts in their department....
I`m sure they would be the ideal people to help sell Turbines at BQ....
Mind you the £1500 price tag speaks for itself.Which in iteslf is very excessive, but I still want to know what its output is?

Posted - 12/08/2007 : 22:06:13 I also think the turbine is a crappy colour and the windvane at the back sucks because it is so thin..... They might look good up in the air but form the ground they look crap!!
I think the build quality could have been much better...... The breakdown of £1500 I still see it as a big rip off..... |

Posted - 12/08/2007 : 21:58:19 I think B+Q could do a little more on the effort side of selling them. The good point in y favour was I had just purchased a bit of PVC tubing and decided to put the pipe alongside the blade of the Windsave Turbine. It gave me the exact size of blade they use LOL
Works rather well now I have made four of them onto a dynohub. |

BTW our B+Q is the same, not much info apart from buy one..
Hmmm Pete
