Hi,
Basically I'm partly taking apart my system to sell and get some better components, so I thought I'd start with the control panel as I can still use my system without it :) .. Don't really use my system much as 25w real-world peak from these solar panels wont really do much and I dont use it much ..
It's a pretty big box and there is space for more inside it, a panel voltmeter could be added pretty easily. It's got;
3 phase schottky rectifier
Boost converter (this was one of s4w's), this can help with low wind situations.
10A ammeter
Ghurd dump load controller
150w car heater dumpload
Stop switch
It has as an input a cable which I've cut to about 6 inches, this has three wires, either for use with a three-phase generator or for an ametek, connect it to two of the wires (doesnt matter which) and you won't need an external diode. It has an approx. 2ft long battery cable with separate sense wires for the controllers with a fuse on the end. This would be pretty much all you'd need for control for an ametek as it'll connect straight to the battery and includes a dumpload, and also comes with the boost converter which'll help in low wind situations.
I think I'll ask £85+UK postage which I can find out, if anyone wants to make a reasonable offer I can consider that too, I'll accept paypal or if you want to come and pick it up cash on collection :)

Post here or email me at aicchalmers (at) btinternet (dot) com

Also just a quick plug for stuff I'm selling on ebay ..

Great idea, can you post a picture of the insides?

The controller is inside the box and the car heater dumpload is connected to the controller inside, the cable comes out of the box and goes to the heater .. pretty simple really.

Fungus nice job can you explain how you connected the 150w car heater dumpload with Ghurd dump load

controller. Or are they separate.

No probs Fungus.
I just like to be acknowledged, as you have done.

Ben.
