Hi Ben and all the little gotwinds
following your advice on a smaller blades I went crazy and chopped 150mm from each blade to 450mm length, and guess what my wind wizard friend, it works, IT BLOODY WORKS, this things turn so fast, that I sometimes can't even see the blades and the cutting is is so much sooner and quicker, also it reduces the noise from the blades when there is a gust of wind, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3sxNd14AbM

At the end of the video, you mention something about charge control, I don't think I would worry too much.
If you have five 105 Ah batteries as you say - That is a huge capacity for a small wind generator.
It would require 15 hours at your maximum charge current of 7 amps to charge just One battery (from empty)
105 Ah/7 amps = 15 hours
Your solar panel would be contributing quite a bit at this time of year, so also take any charging from that into account also.
But as long as you are 'tapping' some of the power off it, it should be fine.

good Vid on Utube, and agreed looks like excellent result. Well done!
One question, you said in your narrative with the Vid that you are powering all you night time lighting now from wind turbine and solar generated Power. Can you share with us specifically what you are powering from your generated energy?
