I think one of these energy monitors is one of the best way to reduce energy use in the household or office, just an awareness of what appliances are drawing how much power and reduce the most power hungry ones would save more power than could be generated by any of the wind generators here over a 12 month period.

Some appliances can still use up to 25% of the energy they normally do when switched on.

Got to be worth 10 pounds in my opinion.(offer in U.K only)

Could not agree more Ben, I've got one of these and then went round the house plugging everything into it to see what the consumption was.

It's quite amazing how much some items still draw even when turned off.

I'd advise everyone to get one.
