It has a regulator included as part of the kit and it says that it provides "Battery reverse feed protection". Can anyone tell me if this is the same as a blocking diode ?

Hi steevo777,

I just sold a 51W panel (vertually new) for £132 via ebay. I did post it in the "products and services" bit at the top of the forum so members could see.

Cheers

Del.

Many thanks for reply gotwind. I KNEW it was the same as a blocking diode but thought I better check just in case.

That Solar Panel kit cost £129 which isnt cheap but I couldnt find anywhere else as cheap as that even on the internet but I bet you are gonna tell me that I didnt spend enough time shopping around...and maybe you could be right

Yes, that's exactly what it means.
Maplin aren't the cheapest in my experience steevo777.
