Posted - 10/05/2008 : 16:30:52 Many of us make a lot of wind turbines using various parts we find.I was wondering what our members on the forum are using as pivots to turn their home made wind turbines around in the wind.
I would like some members to post pictures of pivot ideas for newcomers to the forum as many people have difficulty try to get their projects up and running.
So far I have used 3 different ways myself.
1 - a lighting stand 2 - A wheel off an old shooping trolley. 3 - a Big tube inside a longer smaller pole works well with the top closed off.
OK folks!! let`s get some off the shelf pivot ideas listed or even some photos to help some people with this difficult part of Wind turbine making.

Follow this link to what is perhaps the simplest design of wind turbine including pivot. :)

Would it be possible to show a picture of the voltage doubler you rescued from a walwart, I remember seeing a picture but can't find it on a search of the forums.
Regards,
Sundowner.
