Hello Kurt.
I wouldn’t advise direct connection to the mains circuit.
Most wind generators produce 12 or 24v DC – This power can be stored in lead acid batteries and then a 240v AC Invertor can be used to power small mains appliances.
I have seen the B&Q wind generator and it compelled me to publish a web page on my website.

The B&Q wind generator product is clever, in that it plugs directly into the house mains but in my opinion it should be mounted separately on a pole, and is a little expensive.
