We are making a new Recharge Pod and need the best spec possible, we are going to use the American Bergey XL1 turbine atop the ‘tent’ and I would appreciate any experience in advising me the best, most robust solar panels in the 100-200 watt region, we are after a total PV array of around 800 watts Peak.

Price is secondary to quality.
I have experience of the Chinese panels which are o.k. but not the most robust.

Any advice appreciated.

Sorry Ben, I have no affilation with the company they operate from the small town I live in and my dad would have gone to school with the owners.
Link removed as I don't want it to appear that I was endorsing them or plugging them.

Thanks Sundowner.
That's a bit of a business plug, thats fine as you're a regular contributor here on the Gotwind forum, no worries.

Spread the hard work that has been done I say, here's the website for others to look at.

I was hoping to hear of experience with the supposidly better 'branded' panels, Sanyo,Siemens e.t.c

Hi Ben,

There is quite a range of different solar panels and wind turbines at this site:

Here is a link to a 200 watt 24v Sanyo Solar panel with price converted to pounds:

P.S: Please note site is in Australia but exchange rate will work in your favour

Regards,

James
