Hi ben and all little gotwinds I DID IT, I managed to take apart my ametek 30v, and the good news is that the magnets were still attached, the noise was just from the bearing and like ben mentioned the brushes rubbing against the commuter thingy. Here is how I did it, the first step was to undo the 10mm bolts out followed by pulling the top half with the shaft out, you will definatelly feel the magnet field there, careful, then after checking everything, I then greased the bearings, and put some super glue neatly around the magnet edges, just for future reassurance. NOW THE TRICKY BIT putting everything together its actually easy the main obstacle is pulling the brushes back so the whole thing slides into position, I then asked my renewable energy aprentice (my long suffering wife), to give me a hand and I recommend two people for this and by using a sewing cotton stringy, she managed to pull both strings together back, so the brushes were fully back, while I slide the whole assembly inside the casing when you get half way make sure that your fingers are well away, cause the whole thing just gets pulled down, then after the shaft bit is in position just lift the cassing 2 or 3 mm and pull the sewing cotton out carefully, and that is it job donne. I would like to take this opportunity to thank ben, del, johny, and others for their previous imput on how to do it, I felt more informed while doing it and made what at first seemed like a mission impossible, quite easy, I guess that's the beauty of gotwind. So now I can just assembly the whole thing again and pray for wind. Thank you once again ben and all other little gotwinds. keep up the good work Super Windy
