He checks in now and again Keith.

I believe he is busy working long shifts - 16 hours a day as a security guard saving for more R.E gear,
and reviewing the freeplay wind up products...

Ben.

Hahahaha!!!
I`m here folks!!!

Yes! I`m doing a lof of heavy shifts, but for the next 2 weeks im on day shifts from 8am-6pm. These are easy hours for me. I`m currently looking after an old folks home that has just been built from scratch and I`m helping the council workers with the move...

It`s an ok job for now and i`m enjoying it!! sometimes I do 36 hour shifts and take clothes and food with me!!

AND THE FREEPLAY RADIO AND TORCH!! lol I have to have decent freeplay stuff as batteries would run out and the freeplay just keep on working!!

I`ll post more in the near future!!

My next GREEN buy will be a kettle from argos that only heats the water that hits your cup!! Storing the room temperature water in it container....

This little kettle seems ideal for myself as I tend to boil a kettle a few times as I forget to go back and make a coffee...

My old kettle is not working so i`m investing in this other kettle as I think I will save on electricity making one smalll coffee per use.

It's interesting but not cheap. I've read that some people use thermos flasks to keep water hot for teas and coffees for a few hours. Granted it's not as eco sexy but then you're not having to pay out for a new kettle when you existing one still works and you're saving on all the energy that it takes to make one of these things and get it to you. I do really like the idea though - good lateral thinking by someone.

Cheers

Del.

Del,
At work we have a tea urn. Over the past week I have been watching the use of it and when they use it.

They tend to leave the urn on all night without switching it off in the porta-cabin.

In a factory enviroment I have seen these little kettle things work really well and save a lot of money. I have also seen ones theat blast UV light at the water to kill dacteria.....

For the likes of me I think the kettle is a good idea because I tend to switch my kettle on and walk away!! 10 mins later I then go back into the kitchen to use the water!! I forget I had boiled it LOL

Basically what I can do with this kettle is really use it when i`m standing there! I put the cup under it with coffe and sugar and thats really it!!

I`m forgetfull sometimes! I think this kettle thing will work better for me instead of reboiling kettles that i had forgotten it had switched on.....

I see argos is doing it £10 cheap up till xmas, but i`ll still look around for a good price for the same sort of thing.
