Hi Speo;
Low price for certain but the problem with those panels is the plastic that surrounds the panel does eventually(5 years?)break dow due to weather and/or UV. If it sits on your dashboard as intended, your windshield blocks most of the UV.
On the upside even that little panel will make your car battery believe it's about 6C warmer than the actual temperature in the winter. It's definitely worth it if you have to park for extended periods in very cold weather without plugging in your block heater.

BushWhacker, let's hope they break before 5 years and get new ones as they are under a 5 years warranty :)
I have a small array of 10 of those in the backyard, since April 2006. It doesn't serve any serious purpose, I'm just fooling around with it. I'm wondering if I can remove them from the plastic frame. I'll try that.
Speo.

Speo, Seal the soldered wire and pad area with silicone or something. They are the weakest point. Next is the edge of the PV. Water gets in. G- |

Stumbled on to this... "If you are prepared to wait till April ( when are next container comes in)
Pay only $5.50 per watt with 25 % deposit"
$5.50/1.98 = 2.77 GBP for mono crystalline? I don't understand this because they only claim 13% efficiency for the cells, but 12.5% for the panel.

How does an 80W panel for £195 grab you?
That's £2.44 per watt.
Actually I've just bought four at that price and paid £20 for delivery for all four.

You got a link to the panels Del, or was it a one off offer (ebay)?

It was the same seller that Keith got his from (see above)I just negotiated the price down to £195 each if I bought four and got carriage for £20 the lot.
When I bought my four the seller did have some left but is no longer advertising any.
The ebay seller ID is 01527875087. It's worth asking the question to see if they have any left or if they are intending to get any more in.
Cheers
