Theres been lots of speculation over the years about cost effective, efficient solar panels - I've not seen any better than 18% efficient even for the very best, most are around 14%. I hope it will become a reality very soon, but I will believe it when i can see it and more importantly buy the panels.
Ben if you search around that site a bit there is something mentioned about 22% efficient solar panels as well. I can't back it up, but thought I'd mention that.
