Can someone tell me please if I have made a decent choice for a motor to use in a small wind project?
My experience w/ re systems has been limited to a homemade microhydro system made from an industrial AC/Delco alt. direct coupled to four inch turgorunner. I have since moved to another proeprty which is windy but has no water. My alt system used to require a field charge, but otherwise was straightforward.
I hope to get 12+ volts to charge batteries,
How do these specs sound for a small wind turbine motor?
Permanent magnet motor /w brushes
HP 2-1/2 at 130 VDC int.
1-1/2 at 95 VDC cont.
95-130 VDC
18.5 Amps
0-6750 RPM
Rotation reversible
Any help would be greatly appreciated... Oh yeah, I now have some microhydro stuff for sale!
