Please post any services you can offer Forum members in this topic.

Also any items you have for sale, this topic will remain 'sticky' and at the top of page, so remember to keep an eye on it.

Ben.

I want to post this for the guys in the UK as well as the guys in the U.S.

I think what is happening on ebay is ridiculous. In some cases full retail and then some. In some cases it is the other way around. This is my personal opinion. Opinions vary. I would hope that if someone here had something to sell... They would try to sell it here first (out of ebay). And for a reasonable price.

Most of the people I know here (locally) avoid ebay like the "plague" (Now).

However... Ebay is good for buyer protection when dealing with long distances and or buyer protection.

Anyway... I have access to several local surplus stores here. I would be willing to help anyone out that is looking for a specific item if they specify. IE: Motors, parts, etc...

For example... I just picked up an Ametek motor from this store for $20 I charged the guy $25 in fuel to pick it up (it is a distance from here). Plus shipping is under $67. Most of the motors alone are selling for over $70 to $130 on ebay plus shipping? What is wrong with this picture? We need to be helping each other... Not shooting everyone in the foot.

Just a thought...

AJ

What's that noise!? Uh Oh!...

Hi Litespeed
You are spot on with ebay situation, its just out of hand, and i agree with the trying to sell it on here first than to just put links to ebay sales, after all we are all chaseing the same cause and on a limited budget.
Nice of you to offer the service with the motors Litespeed, i'm sure it will be very appreciated. I myself may be interested at a later date.

Regards Donnie.

Donnie,
They are just pvc blades with a fibre glass hub - they are exactly the same as the ones i sell plans for.
There will be no airfoil on them, and won't perform well with the fururenergy pmg in my opinion.
The title is very misleading, and he should be told.

I tried quite recently to order a set of the 8.5 ft blades from magnet4less, intending to bolt them to my own hub, but the website didn't want to play when I wanted them shipped to UK. Perhaps you could help?

hi ben
i can assure you they are 100% fibreglass, peter has been making these blades for many years whilst he lived up here on the west coast of scotland, long before he moved to cornwall, so for me the plus is if he says they will work in my conditions i'm more than happy to try them, he made this set for my futurengy, just the same model he uses for testing his blades on, i just hope the bearings hold out for more than a week....lol. he is at present working on some 3mtr blades for me for another project i have on the go. but when the wind drops for me to re-install this futurenergy i'll post some photos of them, and i'll see what this white rascal can really put out.

My tuppence ha'penny worth, I can't do the maths on these blades if each blade is 3 layers of 450g glass fibre how come they're only 600g with 2 coats of primer.

Doesn't he also state glass reinforced plastic blades.

Nice looking blades

They look nice and would be ideal here where our planning laws state that turbines must be of uniform colour, that colour being grey.

Sundowner....huh.........thats what they call us.......Sundowners
