Hello everyone sorry I haven't been on line lately, but work is been a bit full on and I, has an addict to this wind power have managed to read every night the forums, but then I have to get somme shut eye. Anyway I have been eagerly awaiting any future developments on the future energy alternator from dell, fungus, amongst others, I want to know what's the verdict on the alternator, whats the max amps you have seen so far, also what are you using as a charge controller, and has a dump load, I just need more information before buying the alternator for myself. Also I have read in another post that maybe the 12v option isn't a good one, is the 24v better, I have enough wind to keep the wind turbine hopefully running between 200 to 500rpm, and if that gives me 6 or 8 amps that would be amazing, has anyone has the 12v one and what's your reviews on the output, I have seen the different outputs for all the different volts and the 12v seems to cut in more quicker, any advice is greatlly appreciatted. On another note I'm seriously thinking of selling my 2 home made wind turbines, one is the treadmill motor and the other the ametek, I'm thinking of putting it on e-bay, I'm getting abit emotional now as I can't believe that I'm thinking of selling my babies, but based on your experiences how much should I ask for both of them, they are all working extremely well, I also have loads of different blades for both of them, and so far I haven't had any problems with it, I'm just thinking that with the money from them I could buy the alternator and maybe something else, and end up with just one very powerfull wind turbine, whats your thoughs on the price for both or even sell them as seperate items. Also I'm already thinking of starting to build my own set of wooden blades for them when time allows, another project that I have also started is a solar air heater, here's a link for anyone interested:http://www.reuk.co.uk/Make-a-Simple-Solar-Air-Heater.htm I already have 16 empty cans of diet coke for the project, but I need another 97 cans, I also have a double glazed window for the glass at the front, insulation for the back, just mainly need more cans, maybe I will get my 5 and 2 year old drinking coke until they are sick, I will let you guys know the progress. cheerio Keep up the good work Super Windy

Hi Superwindy,
I'm still in the "accumulating all the metal together" phase of my Futurenergy project. Brian (BS85) has the 24v version but had the 12v version before that. The Futurenergy site give you all the data on the cut-in rpm's and current outputs. We did discuss this in detail a couple of months back (see the main Futurenergy thread for details).
Donnie has got one going too but with Air X type blades so possibly not perfectly suited to the PMG.
I reckon (personal opinion) the Ametek and treadmill thing is a good start and fulfilling to make and generate free energy but they can attract good prices on ebay at the mo so you could sell both and have more than enough for a Futurenergy project. A LOT more power for the same kind of money you could flog your existing set-up's for.
I sold my Ametek and it's chassis and blades separately. They were bought by the same guy actually and I was very pleased with the money they went for. £77 (I think) for the Ametek 30 plus another £32 ish for the chassis and blades.
Hope this helps mate
Cheers

Hi Windy. In regard to selling your turbines, I would sell them as complete units in two auctions, a lot of people are keen to get into wind power for little money, but don't necessarily have the time, space or tools to make a complete unit.
I would suggest £100 each on eBay, start them at £25 - using good keywords - Ametek, wind generator, turbine e.t.c Include a link to your best video on youtube, so people can see them working and generating power.
£200 would get you the Futurenergy hub and rectifiers (delivered) - I wouldn't expect PVC blades to power it, but a good set of 6 foot diameter wooden blades would.

Cool. It is certainly the Futurenegy Alternator with some kind of 2.2m 3 blade? setup. The 'hand turning' resistance can be noticed in his previous videos I like his Sunlight tracker also.. http://www.youtube.com/user/dalemi666
I will invite him here.

Had an interesting reply from Emilio in Italy Hi Ben, thank you, I will visit your website, in the next days I will publish a website with the project of my wind turbine and a dynamic page with real time data coming from the wind turbine.
best regards, Emilio.
