I was on ebay last night and found a Dutch company is making a reasonably priced grid tie inverter. ($260+$80 shipping) It is for a 24 volt system. UL listing is pending. It appears to be just what I am looking for except that it is 24 volt. Now for the dumb question, are inverters rated for open voltage or with a load. I know I can make 24 open volts with my 2 gennies without any problem. I have not ever hit 24 volts with my batteries connected even in the 35 mph winds of a few weeks ago.

The inverter is plug and play and does not require any batteries. It is 110v 60hz. No need to hard wire it in. Just plug it into the wall outlet.
