Hi everyone just tried to raise my ametek from head height to 3.6m up in the air, woooooooooww, what a difference it never stopped, here's a video: ="http://www.youtube.com/v/ui24OIAOSO8&rel=1" its a shame that I filmed it @ night, but I couldn't help it. cheerio super windy

That is a pretty good video for being at night time. What were your winds like? Looks like you were having some pretty steady winds.
I can't remember from all your videos... Are you using 6" or 8" pipe for your blades? Assuming you still have your modified blade on the Ametek.
Would like to see a shot of the towers in the day time.

hi super windy Now that I realise who you are I would like to say thankyou for the series of videos on the making of your wind and solar systems it was watching these that has got me into wind and solar power recently Ive not quite got everything sorted yet but I am seriously enjoying putting things together to generate my own power. you forgot to mention how addictive making your own power can be, Im hooked

Hi litespeed, thank you for your comment the blades are made out of 6 inch pipe, dc2000, first of all welcome to gotwind, and thank you for your comments, and its good to know that I made someone became interested in this mad hobby, and yes it is addictive once your brain starts to think about wind turbines for the first time, there is no turning back, you are hooked but it feels good to see your finished project spinning at 400 to 500 rpms and loads of power going into a battery, plus if something goes wrong with it, because you built it, you hopefully will know how to fix it by yourself, and if help is needed, there is always this amazing website cheerio super windy |
