Hi guys got given a little dc motor, but the previous owner, my mate he used locktite on it, whats the best way of removing it , he mentioned maybe heat it up, is this the best way? super windy

I'd think ethyl acetate or acetone should remove it. They eat polymers pretty well.

Hello SW,
1. Ask your wife for some fingernail polish remover (contains acetone, but is not full strength). 2. Loctite Blue: Can be removed with hand tools (impact driver). 3. Loctite Red: Apply heat to remove - soldering iron, then impact tool. 4. Loctite Green: Apply heat to remove - soldering iron, then impact tool.
