Hey guys, long time I know, to be honest been happy with the old dynamo charging my caravan battery for a while but now want to get bigger, ok so I want to watch tv some weekends
Question for the electrics gurus; I've read a lot about folk using DC PM motors to make their own generators, thinking that this might be something I want to look at, but as usual having little on the cash side, I came across an old 240 volt motor from a deceased tumble drier. My question is could this be used to make 12 volts or would it fry my battery?! Is there something I can do to gear down the voltage or is this a lost cause?
Hey, I never claimed to be intelligent
