Hello windies,

The system I'm planning/building is to be an off-grid system of solar and wind with a backup generator. Being electrically and electronically challenged, this has been a real learning experience - and not a cheap one at that. The components can be expensive not to mention the cost of the learning curve (no one makes mistakes do they?).

Major mistake with those batteries. 6V golf cart would have been cheaper, higher capacity, and last a lot longer.

His panels are too close to the roof. Not enough circulation. They'll get hot reducing the output, and maybe the life.

Then the whole Air-x thing.

But looks like a well done system. Nice attention to details.
